What is the Rockstar Woman Brunch?
The Rockstar Woman Brunch™ Experience is a movement designed to invest in the aspirations, ambition, and wellness of women who lead, love, and serve in transformational ways. The mission and vision of the Rockstar Woman Brunch™ Experience is achieved through the following core components:
Brunch Box
Each year we prototype and release a “first look” of custom products exclusively at the Rockstar Woman Brunch™ Experience for Brunch attendees. We are serious about swag that WOWS!
Brunch attendees lead, love, and serve in transformational, but often in unsung ways. Each gift inside the Brunch Box is curated with a litany of goods and products she can use at home, in the office, for fun and as an investment in her wellness.
Each gift inside the Brunch Box features our signature brand of inspiration + strategy and is curated to spark joy and inspire! We aim to take your breath away by the attention-to-detail invested in the gifts curated just for YOU!

Building Community
Every difference maker needs a SOAR SQUAD. The Rockstar Woman Brunch™ is a safe space to meet new people, nurture existing relationships, and deepen connections in a way that is meaningful, purposeful, and genuine.
This is not your traditional, transactional “women's networking” space. We believe that humans are naturally relational beings. Relationship building is central to the spirit and vibe of the Rockstar Woman Brunch™ Experience.

Soar Sessions
Imagine having a dynamic collective of highly skilled, high-achieving women walking alongside you as you birth, build, and scale the dreams of your heart! This is the inspiration + strategy undergirding the newest component of the The Rockstar Woman Brunch™ Experience…Soar Sessions!
Soar Sessions were inspired by YOU! You asked us for MORE – More of Shannon Cohen Inc's signature brand of inspiration + strategy and more time to connect as a Rockstar Woman community to cross-pollinate ideas and resources. You ask...we deliver!
This year's Brunch ticket will include access to up to [3] summer Soar Sessions. Soar Sessions will be held monthly in June, July, and August. Soar sessions will convene virtually on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 12-1pm EST.
Sessions feature a “Soar Catalyst” who will share inspiration + strategy re: their pathway from ideation → implementation → growth in one of the following three categories: Aspirations, Ambition, or Wellness.
Each "Catalyst" will share their story and lived experience in a way that ignites fellow Rockstar Women to believe and invest in their own aspirations, ambition, and wellness goals. The cornerstone of each session is thought partnership. We will cross-pollinate ideas, collective wisdom, stories, resources, strategies, and more to help one another get “unstuck”, activate, and ultimately SOAR!
As an added bonus: each Soar Session includes an accompanying gift over and above the Brunch Box!
Event Day Experience
The Rockstar Woman Brunch™ Experience is always the 4th Sunday of September. The 2022 event will be held Sunday, September 25th from 1:00-3:30 p.m. The 2022 event will be a hybrid convening offering guests the opportunity to attend in-person or virtually.
Travel + Accomodations
Traveling from out of town or interested in curating a relaxing weekend for the RSW Brunch? We have reserved a limited block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Grand Rapids East from Saturday, September 24th to Sunday, September 25th at a discounted rate of $124/night plus applicable taxes.
The hotel, which offers an array of amenities including an on-site restaurant, indoor/outdoor hot tub, and free parking, is a 9-minute drive from the RSW Brunch venue - Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.

Shannon Cohen
Shannon Cohen is a high level consultant, founder, and author of two books, "It’s Normal to Shake as You Soar" and "Tough Skin, Soft Heart: A Leadership Guide to Growing Stronger, Better, and Wiser". Shannon is the Founder and CEO of Shannon Cohen, Inc. a company that curates products, spaces, and experiences that nourish human souls. Her products have been featured at Target, Meijer, and West Elm and her Tough Skin, Soft Heart podcast is available on Anchor, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher with subscribers spanning 12 countries.
Shannon is the Founder of the global Rockstar Woman™ Brunch Experience, serving 600 women throughout the U.S and Canada annually. For the past two years, Shannon has been named one of the 200 Most Powerful Business Leaders in West Michigan. Shannon was recently recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan by the Grand Rapids Business Journal. Shannon is an alumnus of the prestigious W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellowship, proud mom of a 2nd grader, and celebrating 13 years of "I do" with the love of her life!
They're Better Known as The Unstoppable Squad!
The Unstoppable Squad is a paid apprenticeship designed for young women in 7th-12th grade to build their portfolio and explore glimpses of their purpose. During the apprenticeship, Unstoppable Squad members see under the hood of the Rockstar Woman Brunch™ experience, engage with local entrepreneurs and business owners, build their network and connect with other women connected to Shannon Cohen, Inc. Applications for this year’s Unstoppable Squad are due on Friday, May 20th.

Musical Guest: Meagan + Band
Meagan McNeal is a powerhouse singer/songwriter and recording artist from Chicago, Illinois. Well versed in the genres of Soul, Jazz, and R&B, she is known for her diverse range and soulful voice. Influenced by groundbreaking artists such as Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Chaka Khan, and Anita Baker, Meagan honed her talents throughout the years and shaped her signature style.
Meagan attracted local attention and received international acclaim with the release of her debut album entitled “Mindset” in 2013. Gracing the stage of NBC’s “The Voice” in 2017, Meagan’s radiating vocals landed her under the wing of Grammy Award Winning artist Jennifer Hudson. Dr. Lisa N. Folden is a North Carolina licensed physical therapist, NASM certified behavior change specialist (health coach) and the owner of Healthy Phit Physical Therapy & Wellness Consultants in Charlotte, NC.
As a body positive women's health expert and health at every size (HAES®) ambassador, Dr. Folden assists women seeking healthier lifestyles. Her weight-neutral approach encourages intuitive eating, body acceptance and breaking up with toxic diet culture. Dr. Lisa is a mom of three, published author and speaker who understands the complex needs of the modern busy woman. Therefore, she considers helping busy moms find their 'healthy' one of her of top priorities.
A regular contributor to articles on topics related to physical therapy, health, wellness, self-care, motherhood, body positivity and pregnancy, Dr. Folden has had the distinct honor of being featured in Oprah Magazine, Shape Magazine, Livestrong, Bustle and several other publications. Additionally, she is a member of the National Association of Black Physical Therapists, the Association of Size Diversity & Health, The KNOW Women, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and serves as an expert panelist for H.E.R. Health Collective (2021-2022).

For guests living 25 miles or more from metro Grand Rapids, we ship Brunch Totes one week prior to the event day in September.
For guests living within a 25 mile radius, we sponsor a cool tote pick-up event known as "Unveiling Day".
